Why should I regularly clean my carpets?
Just like the clothes need regular washing to keep them fresh and hygienic, carpets and upholstered furniture require cleaning at regular intervals. Collections of dust, soil and grit are the main causes of reduced carpet and fabric life and these enable destructive and health harmful mites and bacteria to breed. The cost to clean your carpets are minimal when you consider the cost of replacing carpets, so regular cleaning makes sense economically too.
But I use a vacuum daily…
Regular vacuuming is a necessity to keep your carpets clean and hygienic, however something that many don’t realise that what we are seeing is only a very small percentage of the soil that a carpet contains. The visible soil we notice is only the tip of the iceberg; around 85 per cent of the dust and grime the carpet holds, is buried deep down within the pile and then, when you consider that a carpet can actually trap its own weight or more in soil. Although tempting to buy and use other expensive equipment to help maintain and preserve your valuable floor coverings, unfortunately most domestic vacuum cleaners, shampooers and steamers, even the ones advertised as the most powerful, just haven’t got what it takes to get rid of that deep-down dirt or nasty germs. Especially if you have pets and or children. This is where we come in, our sophisticated equipment, products, training and experience is paramount to ensure your carpets are not only clean but protected.
We always recommend cleaning your carpets every 3-6 months depending on its usage.
